Mission & Values

Salvation

We believe that as a result of the sin of Adam, the condition of mankind in its present state, is a sinner - lost, undone, without hope, and without God. We also believe that there is hope. And that the terms of salvation are repentance toward God for sin, and faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and obedience to his commands; (i.e. baptism, abiding in His Word, living the life of a disciple of Jesus, etc). We believe the scriptures clearly set forth the doctrines of eternal punishment for the lost and eternal bliss and service for the saved. That is, Hell for the unsaved and Heaven for the saved.
(Romans 5:12-21; Acts 17:30; Hebrews 11:6; Acts 2:41, 8:12, 9:5; Galatians 3:27)

Sacraments

We practice the sacred acts of the Church (ordinances) and believe that per our Lord’s instruction there are two that were instituted by Him and that are highly regarded and practiced. They are baptism and Communion (Lord’s Supper). Baptism; which is immersion in water in the name of Jesus; identifying with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection and identifying with His church. And Communion; which is the partaking of bread and wine (or grape juice) as a memorial of the death, the resurrection, and a proclamation of the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
(Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16 1 Corinthians 11:7-34)

Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s Holy Word, the sacred Scripture. We believe the Bible teaches that man, created by God, willfully sinned against God and is consequently lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ. We believe the Bible teaches that salvation and the forgiveness of sins is offered and possible only through Jesus Christ.
(2 Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 40:8; Romans 15:4; Hebrews 4:12)

God

We believe in one God, Eternal, Almighty and Creator of all things. We believe He is the beginning and ending of all things, as well as the sustainer of all things. We believe that there is only one true God.
(Galatians 3:20; Ephesians 4:6; Romans 3:30; James 2:19; Romans 16:26; Colossians 1:15-20; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 1 Timothy 2:5)

Jesus

We believe that Jesus is God, come in the flesh and that He is both divine and human. We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ and the same for all who are believers in Him. We believe that Christ Jesus ascended to the Father and is presently engaged in preparing Heaven and interceding for the saints. We believe He will return one day to judge the world to either eternal life in Heaven or Hell. Jesus is the Christ the only Son of God, who died for our sins and rose from the dead. We believe that He is, was and forever will be. That by Him and through Him all things were created.
(1 Corinthians 15:1-8; John 3:16; Luke 22:69; Acts 1:1-9; Colossians 3:1; Matthew 24:36-42; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:10-11; 10:39-42; 1 Peter 4:5;1 John 2:2; Colossians 1:15-20; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is an active and operative part of the triune God, and who indwells every disciple of Jesus. We believe he operates in the disciple’s life to convict of sin, draw the sinner to Christ, and inspire faith in Jesus; to repent of sin and believe within his heart that God has raised Jesus Christ from the dead and to confess with his mouth that Jesus Christ is his personal Savior and Lord. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a gift, given by God.
(1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19; 2 Timothy 1:14; John 16:5-15; Acts 1:7-8; Romans 8:26-27; John 16:7-8; Acts 2:38)
